Snowed Inn: The Shot that Started It All!

“Photography for me is not looking, it’s feeling. If you can’t feel what you’re looking at, then you’re never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures.”
— Don McCullin

This year I will share some of my favourite quotes and some of my favourite images taken in the last 5 to 6 years. A maximum of 2 in a month if I can’t decide, but let’s start with my favourite of all – ‘Snowed Inn‘.

.

January in Switzerland has been very white. We have had snowfall like never before. Well, not for the last 15 years. I want to share this image with you because it is a wonderful photo of snowfall in Switzerland and it probably was the photo that turned my head from pure Art (oil painting on canvas) to photography. It had won so many awards and was the European nominee for the Instagram WorldCup Winter shot.

Love looking at it. Love dreaming with it. Allow yourself to dream with this shot too. 🙂
